Swing-N-Pickle Pickleball Rules
At Swing-N-Pickle, we keep the vibes fun—but the pickleball rules keep the chaos in check. Whether you’re a seasoned slammer or a curious newbie, here’s your quick and quirky guide to how the game rolls:
The Basics
- Played in Doubles or Singles
But let’s be real—doubles = twice the trash talk, twice the fun. - First to 11 Wins (Must Win by 2)
If it’s close, get ready for an intense, paddle-clashing finale.
The Serve
- Underhand only (save the tennis flair for later)
- Must be diagonal and clear the kitchen
- Only one fault allowed per serve—no pressure
The Kitchen (aka No-Volley Zone)
- It’s the 7-foot space on each side of the net
No smashing volleys while standing in it—you’re not cooking up chaos in the kitchen
You can go in, just don’t volley while you’re there!
The Double Bounce Rule
- Ball must bounce once on each side before volleys start
- Yes, it’s weird—but it keeps the rally spicy and fair
Scoring
- Only the serving team scores
- Serve rotates when you lose the point
- First team to 11 (win by 2) brings home bragging rights
Fun Is Mandatory
- High fives are encouraged
- Paddle drops are allowed (on wins only)
- Smack talk? Sure—but keep it classy
